I am a PhD research student in the vibrant and exciting Northern English city of Manchester, which you can read more about on Wikipedia. You can read more about my research project and background on my department profile page.
I used to work at the University of Strathclyde, researching various aspects of Digital Libraries. I got my Postgraduate degree in Information Science from there and basically just hung around for a while afterwards! My Undergrad degree (Literature, Film and Television with Level 1 Politics and Psychology) came from the University of Glasgow, back in 2004.
My interests are primarily: music, cinema, literature, travel, food&cooking, technology, socialising, and trying to keep up with current events. I play a little bit of guitar but am better at singing. I do not have any coding skills and I’ve never been a programmer. I’ve dabbled occasionally with HTML, Wiki markup and even LaTeX. But these remain ambitions for sometime after I finish learning another natural language.
I hope that you’ll enjoy reading (and commenting on) this blog as much as I enjoy writing it. 🙂
